In addition to the series of seven books that Rowling plans to write about all seven years of Harry's studies at Hogwarts, she has also published two brochures that are directly related to the magical world in general, and to our three little wizards in particular. These are essentially the textbooks that Harry reads during his first year at Hogwarts. The books were written for another very important purpose - all proceeds from their sales will be donated to the Comic Relief UK charity. This is a wonderful charity organization that primarily focuses on organizing various projects in Africa (solving the problem of starving children and so on). The first of them is Quidditch Through the Ages, the same one that our young heroes read avidly! The book describes in detail and with humor the history of the emergence of the magical game, the formation of its rules, the most famous teams, and much, much more. The writer herself says that as a child she was terribly unsportsmanlike, however, one fine day she decided that the wizarding world lacked a game that wizards would enjoy in the same way as, say, Muggles enjoy football. And she invented Quidditch. If you've ever asked questions like where the golden Snitch came from, who invented the Bludgers, or why the Wigtown Warriors' robes have a carving knife on them, then you need to read the book Quidditch Through the Ages. This edition is a copy of a book from the Hogwarts school library, which is used almost daily by young Quidditch fans to get answers to their questions.
