The book is devoted to the method of retrospective analysis at all stages of the manufacture of a female costume for a court lady of the royal court of the 16th century, starting with the collection of information, analysis of historical analogues, stages of the preliminary design and, directly, the reconstruction of the historical dress. The production of a suit is supposed to be completely manual, without the use of modern machines and small-scale mechanization, without relying on knowledge of computational and graphic methods for constructing clothing and CAD for garments, using only historical sources and empirically intuitive methods.
