After the first and brutal battles in the most significant battle of the Great Patriotic War, Alexander Ivanov is finishing his recovery in the hospital. Fate gave him a chance, and he did not die in the terrible whirlpool of events, but a slightly different person returns to the front. The Battle of Stalingrad is coming to an end, but adventures find him everywhere. Treason of the commander, crime, punishment, all this forces the Red Army sergeant to change his attitude towards the place and time of his stay. Alexander no longer experiences that first and burning desire to kill the enemy. Trying to find himself, the hero gets into new troubles on the battlefields. After one of which his fate turns everything upside down again. And now Alexander is already there, where at first glance there seems to be no war, but a soldier, he is a SOLDIER everywhere.
