Growing up, Romulus overcame many adversities and founded Rome - the Eternal City, which still attracts crowds of tourists from all over the world. Having won bloody wars with cruel neighbors, Romulus not only established by force of arms the right of the Roman people to exist, but also laid a strong foundation for the future prosperity of the Roman state. For a long time, researchers completely undeservedly considered the first Roman king to be a fictional hero. Thanks to new data obtained by Italian scientists as a result of archaeological excavations in the center of Rome at the turn of the 20th-21st centuries, it became clear that the testimony of ancient authors about the founder of the Eternal City contains reliable information and therefore there is no longer any doubt that Romulus is a historical figure.
