At one time, teachers at the California Technological University thought about how they could restructure the physics course to make it more entertaining and modern. The presentation of the material in the old textbooks was so boring that it discouraged even the most diligent students from learning. Richard Feynman enthusiastically picked up this idea and developed a new, original course of lectures on general physics. When giving these lectures, he, in his own words, focused on the most intelligent and gifted, but he tried to take into account the interests of that student, whom all this fireworks of thoughts could alarm and scare away, and arranged the material in such a way that even this student would remain in his head the basic core and an understanding of what he can gain in the future by continuing to study physics at a more serious level. This edition includes an introductory part of lectures devoted to the general laws of nature.
