Aubrey Beardsley is one of the world's most famous graphic artists, poet and musician. In each of these individual essences he was unusually gifted, and in the first he was unique. This became clear already when Beardsley created his first works, thanks to which the young artist became one of the founders of the Art Nouveau style and the first who approached the design of periodicals, posters and posters with the highest creative standards. He was an esthete in his work and in life. All three pairs of aesthetic categories - beautiful and ugly, sublime and base, tragic and comic - were reflected in the way Beardsley painted and in the way he lived. Intuitively elegant in everything, he brought new energy to the decorative arts and invited viewers to look into the forbidden world of three more “es” - aesthetics, eclecticism and eroticism.
