Antonia Byatt is a modern English writer, winner of the Booker Prize in 1990 (novel “Obsession”). The book “Angels and Insects” includes two of her novels - “Eugene’s Morpho” and “Angel of Marriage”, telling about the life and customs of the highest societies of Victorian England. In “Morpho Eugenia” people are likened to insects, and in “Angel of Marriage” they talk about their communication with ghosts, with the spirits of the dead.
