Mikhail Panteleev. Agents of the Comintern. Soldiers of the world revolution. This book contains biographies of representatives of the Comintern in France, successively replacing each other in 1919–1926: A. Abramovich, St. Ivanov, V. Degotya, A. Guralsky, B. Mikhailov. Their fates are known only to narrow specialists, and Boris Mikhailov is unknown to the latter. The source used was mainly archival materials that were closed until very recently. The biographies of five Comintern members are traced from their youth to their death. But the arena of their activity, besides France, was a huge space from New York to Shanghai! And always under false names, illegally, often in contact with the special services. “Fighters for a bright future,” they were different, and the end of their path was different. Some died as a personal pensioner, some soon after leaving prison, and Boris Mikhailov died in a camp barracks. As an appendix, the book publishes part of a brochure by the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Comintern, G. Zinoviev, “Recognition of Russia and the Policy of the Comintern.” For known reasons, it was never republished.
