This book, written at the beginning of the 15th century, was first published in its entirety by Alexander Nikolaevich Veselovsky in 1867, based on a single manuscript without beginning and end. Veselovsky not only established the authorship of this text (while showing that the manuscript that has come down to us is an autograph), but also - in the absence of an author's name - gave the publishing name to the book, which has lived with him ever since, being known as “Il Paradiso degli Alberti” “Il Paradiso degli Alberti” shows what happened to Italian prose in the coming decades after the death of the last of the “three crowns of Florence,” Boccaccio (d. 1375). Translation from Italian and introduction by Roman Shmarakov
