Heinrich Schliemann, an eccentric millionaire and part-time archaeologist, is excavating a mysterious labyrinth on the island of Crete. But science interests him much less than fame and glory. In addition, his wife spends too much time with the young archaeologist Evans. It would seem that this is where the story can end... but the author offers us not a banal love story, but something else.
