Sometimes it seems: as soon as a person turns to God, grace is depleted. We forget about it and try to build our relationship with God entirely on deeds. But the fact remains: whether we remember grace or not, God gives it to us. The fact is that we often do not understand its essence and do not understand how much we gain in Jesus Christ. Why does this happen? First, because of our sinful nature. Pride instills in us too high an opinion of our abilities, and now we imagine ourselves as absolutely self-sufficient individuals. In every second film, one of the characters utters the phrase: “God helps those who help themselves.” Why are we, the audience, worse? Secondly, in Russia today, as in the West, “business people” are held in high esteem - those who work hard, earn a lot and always achieve their goals. Yes, and the Scripture says that one must do good deeds, strives for holiness. However, if you misunderstand grace, you will never see God’s will.
