And that is why it was among the Greeks that we began to look for our first heroes. Then we moved to the East, which picked up the scientific baton during the Middle Ages. And they returned to Europe again at the beginning of the Renaissance. When talking about our heroes, we tried to focus on biographical information and create portraits of people of science.
