As an independent literary genre, mysticism is indefinable, since the overwhelming number of the best mystical works in recent decades have been created within the framework of fantastic literature. Essentially, everything that was written within one of the two main directions of development of modern world science fiction - “santasy” - is fairy-tale-mystical literature. Within the framework of “santasy”, a group of the most popular masters of the genre took shape, led by Stephen King, Abraham Merritt and Robert Howard. The mystical works of the last two authors ("The Face in the Abyss" and "Almarik") are included in this volume of the "Anthology of Mysticism".
