This publication publishes for the first time the front-line letters of the outstanding Russian military philosopher and theorist, geopolitician, orientalist and geographer, hero of the First World War, Andrei Evgenievich Snesarev (1865–1937). His letters present a wide panorama of the historical drama of the people and the army during the great war. These are amazing documents, extremely truthful, colored by the feelings and thoughts of a scientist-encyclopedist, a direct participant, observer and analyst of turbulent historical events.
