Yellow Eyes is an AMAZING novel. For the first time since Nabokov's Lolita, it explores so openly from a psychological point of view and so impeccably from a literary point of view the image of a “demon child” whose teenage natural sexuality turns out to be destructive for a middle-aged intellectual who can hardly stay on the verge of erotic madness - and not capable of harnessing the powers of his subconscious.
