The book "European Edged Weapons" covers the period from the mid-17th to the end of the 20th century. And it is compiled in such a way as to give a general idea of the main groups and types of bladed weapons used in Europe since the creation of the first regular armies. The main source base for this purpose was the collection of bladed weapons of the Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineering Troops and Signal Corps (VIMAIViVS) in St. Petersburg, which celebrated its 300th anniversary in 2003, as well as naval bladed weapons and daggers from a private collection. The book can be used as a guide, since it highlights and describes the features inherent in bladed weapons of the period under review.
