Memoirs of the socio-political figure D. E. Skobtsov about the times of confrontation between the two camps, the famous resistance to the revolution led by generals L. G. Kornilov and A. I. Denikin. The author remains impartial, covering the actions of both the White and Red forces, also acting as a historiographer - while writing the book, materials from the anthology “Kuban Collection”, published in New York, were used. Particular attention in the memoirs is paid to the activities of the Volunteer Army and the Kuban government, a member which was D.E. Skobtsov with the rank of Minister of Agriculture. Of greatest interest is the description of the reaction to the revolution of the simple Cossack people. The publication is intended for a wide range of readers interested in the history of the White movement.
