2000 A turning point in the life of Russia, as well as in the fate of the main character. He went through everything: fire, water and the 90s in full. He is a hardened cynic and nihilist. He does not take anyone into account and preaches only absolute inner freedom. He doesn’t believe in anything, but God has his own plan for him... Providence itself draws him into a whirlpool of amazing events, from which he miraculously gets out alive, but no stone remains from his previous life. The main character looks at the remnants of his own identity with bewilderment. He asks the eternal questions: who am I? what was life for? what's next? It seems to him that he is a completely finished person. All that remains is to lather the rope or bring the old, proven revolver to his temple, but suddenly help comes from where he never expected it.
