Journalist Sergei Lemeshev goes on vacation by car, but an accident occurs on the road. He goes for help and finds himself in a gloomy trap city, surrounded by an insurmountable invisible line that cannot be crossed in the opposite direction. A series of events gradually draws Lemeshev into the realm of nightmares, where dreams merge with reality, and ghosts show the way to the gates of the other world, beyond which a nameless creature is waiting in the wings. Will a random visitor turn out to be the one whom the gloomy inhabitants of the city, saturated with fear and despair, have been waiting for so long?
