The proposed monograph is dedicated to the work of the Venerable Bede (672/3 - 735), an outstanding church writer and theologian of the early Middle Ages. The writer's works are vivid examples of the most common genres in the Middle Ages - hagiography, biography, epistles, sermons. The connection between Bede's theoretical knowledge in the field of rhetoric and the reflection of these views in the structure of his works is traced.
