The proposed “Theoretical Course” is a monographic study designed for an in-depth study of the theoretical foundations of this branch of knowledge, in which, along with a presentation of the content of basic forensic theories, modern problems of the development of theoretical knowledge in forensic science are analyzed. This is the first experience in domestic literature of preparing a “textbook” for highly qualified lawyers who have basic training in the field of criminology and want to expand their knowledge, gain a deeper understanding of current scientific problems, the solution of which is impossible without knowledge of the theory of criminology. “Theoretical course in criminology” is intended for graduate students, doctoral students, teachers of criminology departments and practicing lawyers interested in the modern development of forensic science and its theory.
