There is a well-known saying: “Vyatka has its own rules!” - and we will paraphrase it and say: “Vyatka has its own... mysteries”! 19th century historian Nikolai Kostomarov once wrote: “There is nothing in Russian history darker than the fate of Vyatka and its land” - probably this phrase was caused by some annoyance of the famous historian at the lack of written sources, the abundance of legends and traditions. Indeed, there are many legends and mysteries in Vyatka. And where there are legends and secrets, there are treasures and treasures. How can treasures and random finds help in solving the complex mysteries of Vyatka history? Television director and author of programs on history and local history Alexey Fominykh talks about this in his book “Vyatka has its own...riddles.” The book could be dedicated to the 650th anniversary of the city of Kirov. But many facts in it indicate that he is much older than we used to think.
