The reader is invited to one of the first major works of the outstanding Russian philosopher, historian and public figure, anarchist theorist P. A. Kropotkin. Written abroad in 1885, it was first published in Russian in 1906. The author not only reveals the ulcers of bourgeois society and substantiates the inevitability of the coming revolution, but also explores the paths leading to true equality of people, outlines his ideal of the future society. The book is addressed to philosophers, historians, political scientists, as well as everyone who is interested in the heritage of Russian social thought and to whom the future of our Fatherland is not indifferent.
