The novel “Where the Sky Ends” by the famous Spanish writer Fernando Marias is the story of a military pilot, who, while still a boy, was sent as a spy to the house of people with whom his fate would forever connect him. In the book, the past is intertwined with the present, it is a novel within a novel, and we hear alternately the voice of the author, narrating the events of our day, and the voice of a teenager dreaming of aviation, who found himself drawn into the bloody events of the Spanish Civil War. Fernando Marias was awarded for this book Spanish National Prize for Literature for Children and Adolescents in 2005.
