This book, on the one hand, is non-philosophical, on the other - exclusively philosophical. It can be considered as a research work, but within a certain conceptual framework. The author tried to understand Tarantino's universe the way the director understands it, and turned to the genre uniqueness of Tarantino's films to prove his uniqueness. The author divided Tarantino's work into three periods, each of which is devoted to a separate part of the book: the first period - conventionally crime cinema, Pulp Fiction; the second period is the director’s invasion of grindhouse territory; the third is the director’s statement in grindhouse territory. The last period of Tarantino’s work is marked by a “historical turn”, determined by the director’s desire to film Nazisploitation and undermine the conventions of the spaghetti western.
