We present to the attention of readers a book of theatrical memoirs and notes by St. Petersburg artist Anatoly Sergeevich Nikiforov. Today Anatoly Nikiforov is known as the director of the St. Petersburg State Children's Ballet Theater. He devoted more than seven decades to the art of dance and theater, first, in the 1940-50s, as a student of the famous school named after A.Ya. Vaganova, then, in the 1950s-80s - as a dancer at the Kirov (Mariinsky) Theater, and, finally, as a teacher and director of children's and adult ballet groups. The book contains interesting facts about the author's biography, a description of the creative events that he witnessed and participated in, as well as impressions of his meetings with famous personalities of the art world. Special attention is paid to the author’s activities in the children’s studio and the Children’s Ballet Theater. The book is intended for a wide audience, ballet lovers, as well as for fans of memoir literature.
