The monograph is devoted to the study of the strategies of the biblical text in the rock poetry of Boris Grebenshchikov. The work is the first to emphasize the presence of biblical text in his work at all poetic levels - from lexical to plot-compositional. Specific for a rock poet and at the same time universal strategies for mastering a “foreign” word are shown. Through the selected aspect of poetics, the originality of the poet’s individual creative style is revealed, and the ideas about his artistic picture of the world that have developed in literary criticism are expanded. For the first time, a receptive approach has been applied to Grebenshchikov’s work with an analysis of the communicative aspect of his songs. The monograph is addressed to literary scholars, teachers, graduate students, philology students, as well as everyone who is interested in Russian rock poetry.
