In 1860, when there were still many blank spots on the globe, biologist Arthur Denison and his son William set off on a Darwinian research journey. After a severe hurricane, no one heard from either Professor Denison or the schooner “Adventurer” and its crew until very recently. Quite recently it turned out that after a shipwreck they, with the help of dolphins, ended up on an unknown island - Dinotopia. Reefs, winds and sea currents reliably protect it from the invasion of strangers and do not allow anyone to leave the uncharted island. Dinosaurs still live on this land, practically unconnected with the rest of the world. They created their civilization together with people - descendants of sailors who were shipwrecked off the coast of a lost island. Arthur Denison and his son William find here their new home, their passion, and their first love.
