Having had enough of the measured patriarchal life of Cimmeria, he went south to the civilized kingdoms, hoping to find a worthy use for his sword there, entering the service of one of the Hyborian princes. At this time, Conan was twenty-three years old. It was during his relationship with Belit that Conan received the nickname “Amra,” which means “Lion,” which firmly stuck to him for the rest of his life.
