2125. The level of the world's oceans has risen by tens of meters. The remaining patches of land are overpopulated. Only a select few - the Inviolables - live under the dome, know no need, admire plants and eat fresh vegetables. The rest are the Grays, slum dwellers, who dream only of winning the lottery, guaranteeing a place on the “New Earth”. Every week, a million lucky people get the chance to start life from scratch. Huge space arks send colonists to a distant planet, where there is everything that is so lacking on the polluted and flooded Earth: clean air, fertile soils, the opportunity to become a farmer and live happily. And the Earth is freed from many extra mouths. Fifteen-year-old Isis Mukeba is one of the few Grays who was lucky enough to study at school. But one day she encounters – literally – Orion Parker, the heir to the richest man on Earth. Having become friends, they realize that they are not so different, and later they discover the terrible secret of the “New Earth” project. Is it true that after a long flight, millions of sufferers find a new home? David Muate (born 1977) is the author of detective stories and the Worlds of the Alliance series of science fiction novels, winner of many literary awards. The New Earth Project's many awards include Prix Sesame, Prix Histoires d'Ados, and others for a book that combines high school love story, adventure, dystopia, and social drama. David Muata managed to create “We” of the Greta Thunberg era - and this alone makes the novel “New Earth Project” a must-read for all concerned from thirteen years old. Ecological sci-fi continues the series of dystopias “Compass Guide”, in which “The Girl from Towers 330" by Timothée de Fombelles, "Shadows of Radovar" by Marlus Moorshuis and the "Thomas Dreamm" trilogy by Honcourt laureate Didier van Covelart.
