Among the poets of the “first wave” of emigration - in the galaxy of Bunin, Khodasevich, Georgy Ivanov, Odoevtseva and others - it was easiest for those who for some reason returned to the USSR to “get lost”: if the emigrants could not forgive Tsvetaeva, what can we say about poets who are not so famous... Among the “lost” ones is Maria Lang, nee Volyntseva, who took the pseudonym “Maria Vega”, published three collections of poems in exile, returned to her homeland at no small cost and lived out her life in the city on the Neva. This collection of poems by Maria Vega is supplemented by her letters to the poet Svetlana Solozhenkina.
