They tell about two important episodes in the life of the emperor, little known to the domestic reader: the brilliant military campaign carried out by the young Bonaparte in Italy at the beginning of his dizzying career, and a brief, but full of intrigue and experience, stay in exile on the island of Elba after defeat in the war with Russia, an exile that ended with an extraordinary escape and a short-lived, but brilliant in its determination and courage, capture of France.
