...Eternal life, which people so often tend to dream about, turns out to be a vampiric toil, alternating acts of violence with frenzied outbursts of supernatural energy, when the person raped at the next turn becomes a rapist, when it is no longer possible to talk about human authenticity, about a person’s identity with himself, but only the tireless, endless pulsation of the bloody wheel, overwhelming the whole world, remains. And, on the contrary, by defending his right to die, a person thereby fights for the only self-preservation available to him, for the opportunity to complete the road destined for him - to live and die by himself... The collection includes two novels - “The Vampire” by the Polish writer Wladislav Reymont and a fantasy novel Baron Olchevry from the family chronicle of Counts Dracula-Cardi “Vampires”, united by a common theme - the traditional myth of the Vampire.
