The anthill is a gigantic multi-level structure built by a civilization that has long disappeared. It is said that the monster-infested dungeons beneath it extend so deep that they reach hell itself, but they also have exits to other inhabited worlds. Lex and Veta come from one of them. Having been found in the dungeons along with other gifts from other worlds, they grew up at the zero level of the Anthill and were supposed to remain there forever. But by chance, the Anthill guard officer took them upstairs with him, giving them jobs in the training unit of the guards. Having thus escaped the routine of the lower levels, they now have the opportunity to constantly get involved in adventures. This time they decide to take part in a game, the purpose of which they do not fully understand.
