A cosmic catastrophe has destroyed a rich, prosperous colony on the planet Marcia. Few survived, only those who managed to break through the Gate. To break through at any cost in order to remember the faces of those who were unlucky until the end of their days. Among the survivors was Lars Schmidt, now a former resident of the planet Firmament on Marcia. Unlike many, Lars did not consider the Earth to be the culprit of the disaster.
