The action of the historical fiction novel “Potemkin's Last Gift” takes the reader to different historical eras. A Leningrad teenager witnesses the night ramming of a German bomber by hero pilot Sevastyanov over besieged Leningrad in November 1941. Surprisingly, he finds himself in the Tauride Palace, where Prince Potemkin is preparing for his last ball in the Northern capital in honor of the capture of the Izmail fortress. A multifaceted panorama allows the reader to communicate with historical characters of that time: Princess Dashkova, the poet Derzhavin, Ataman Golovaty, court councilor Tseytlin, and also with the mysterious Izhora sorceress-noida and the mysterious Italian Greyhound of the Empress - Isis.
