Although Throvenland is not comparable in size to Getland or Vanster, the key to the prosperity of this kingdom was the fortress of Cape Bale - the gateway to the Sea of Shards. Father Yarvi and, more importantly, Mother Vexen are well aware of this. It was thanks to the latter’s treachery that Trovenland was devastated by invaders, its king and servant were killed in their own palace, and Princess Skara was forced to flee from her home under the guise of a pathetic slave.
