A double murder occurs in a small provincial town. The victims are teenage girls. The circumstances of the crime make one think that this was a ritual sacrifice of a Satanist sect. Alexander Turetsky, who came to the town on a private contract to investigate the murder of a major local businessman, gets involved in the case.
