The year from the Nativity of Christ is 1666. The king and parliament fight for power, using both troops and intrigue. The court of the wondrous, deep below, in the bowels of London, also has its fair share of enemies. Old customs are bursting at the seams, and no one knows what will replace them. But an even more terrible danger is coming - one that can destroy everything. In the house of a sleeping baker, a spark flies out of the oven, and from that spark a fire ignites that will burn London to the ground. While people are fighting the flames that are consuming street after street, the wondrous ones go out to battle with an enemy that is not so tangible - with the very spirit of the Great Fire, capable of incinerating everything in its path. Mortals and wondrous ones will have to forget about everything that separates them , and together, shoulder to shoulder, fight for the life of London itself...
