Dee Dee McGill, being the main character of an ironic detective story, simply cannot help but have “little feminine weaknesses.” They, namely falling in love and love of love, become the reasons for accusing her of murdering her own lovers by the police. A good lesson for the diligent “student of life” that Dee Dee considers herself to be. But she knows that she didn’t kill anyone. She was simply set up. And the motive for all the crimes was previously unknown manuscripts of the great Hemingway, found by one of the murdered “princes” Dee Dee.
