In a world so similar to our modern reality, something terrible is happening: scientists, trying to create the “ideal soldier” by instilling vampire abilities in a person, make a mistake. And the hitherto very meager population of vampires receives unprecedented growth and new opportunities. Hired killers are joining the efforts of hunters to protect humanity, now taking orders for evil spirits. One of them, a mercenary who received the nickname “Lady” in mockery of integrity and fanaticism, is approached by a vampire with an unexpected request to take him on as an apprentice. He claims that he wants to return to the human world. Intrigued by the audacity, she agrees.
