1943 A man dies on the street in Paris. That same year, in Paris, Etienne helps the actor Jean Doré escape from arrest and shelters him, wounded in his house. Her friends, the doctor Gaspard Gautier, his wife Madeleine and brother Simon treat him, and when the situation becomes hopeless, Etienne brings another doctor.
