The present volume of the Anthology is mainly devoted to the “King of the Anecdote” - a socio-political anecdote. The book contains the best miniatures of oral folk art, reflecting the nuances of the behavior of those in power - in ancient times and today. The volume's anecdotes also reflect the main problems of socio-political life: the struggle for leadership and the accompanying cruelty, injustice, hypocrisy, and flattery. Issues of social inequality, political terrorism, espionage, and aggression have not been left aside. Many of the small masterpieces offered to the reader, which represent a striking phenomenon of folk humor, are published for the first time.
