At the age of sixteen, all Brian Jackson's worries were related to the fact that there would be nothing more worthy, pure, noble and correct in his life than grades on his high school final exams. And at eighteen, having entered university, he believes that he has become much wiser and looks at life more calmly. Now his ambitions extend much further: he dreams of having an original idea so that they will pay attention to him, and he also passionately wants to win the heart of the girl of his dreams, with whom he studies together. It seems to him that the easiest way to do this is to just make it onto the university team to participate in a televised competition and become famous for his answers. But Brian doesn’t even realize that life will ask him the most difficult question: what is the difference between knowledge and wisdom? The novel “The Ten Point Question” was successfully filmed by British filmmakers together with their Hollywood colleagues. The script for the film was written by David Nichols, and the main roles in the film were brilliantly played by James McAvoy and Benedict Cumberbatch. David Nichols did not stop there and wrote a script based on another of his novels, “One Day,” which was made into a film of the same name in 2011 with the magnificent Anne Hathaway, Oscar winner, in the title role.
