Douglas Reid - British journalist, public figure of the 30-50s. XX century. In Russia he is known as the author of the acclaimed book “The Dispute about Zion,” dedicated to the “Jewish Question.” The book “Did Hitler Want War: To the Origins of the Dispute over Zion” is being published in Russian for the first time (in the English edition it was called “Nemesis: The Story of Otto Strasser”) and is dedicated to the “hot” political problems of world history during the Second World War. The book contains unique materials , allowing a new look at the history of the Third Reich and international relations, the role of European countries and the USSR in history, and was written based on the results of meetings with Otto Strasser, a former associate and then the first public opponent of Adolf Hitler. Thus, the basis of this book - testimony of a contemporary and eyewitness, reflecting a direct, contemporary perception of what is happening, combined with an original historical analysis.
