I wanted to tell the story of a saint living in our days and going through all the stages leading to holiness: debauchery and cruelty, like Julian the Stranger, visions, apparitions, transfiguration and at the same time suspicious trade in animals. At the end - loneliness, poverty and, finally, stigmata, bliss.
