The book “My Week with Marilyn” is a diary that Colin Clark kept during the filming of the film "The Prince and the Showgirl" starring Marilyn Monroe and Laurence Olivier. British writer and director Colin Clarke - then, in 1956, a twenty-three-year-old Oxford graduate - held a modest position as an assistant on the set. For Monroe, this was the first film outside of Hollywood and another attempt to move away from the imposed image of an empty blonde. Filming took place shortly after her wedding to Arthur Miller. She was worried, nervous, late. The always punctual Laurence Olivier lost his temper and got angry. The situation was extremely tense. Colin Clarke, as an assistant, assistant and security guard, was assigned to Monroe to accompany the star on a trip to England in the absence of Arthur Miller. These intimate, intimate recordings of a young Englishman appear for the first time in the book "My Week with Marilyn." Clark's diaries formed the basis of a film of the same name, the Russian premiere of which took place in early 2012.
