“Battle for the Future” was born somewhat unexpectedly. I started writing the story I had long promised to the Elf, but in the process the story turned into a big story telling about the war on the planet Warr. Chronologically, the story continues the novel “Black Flame”; it is, as it were, inserted between it and the novel “Red Dragon”. However, “The Battle for the Future” is an independent work that does not require familiarity with previous novels.

The story takes place on the planet Warr, eight years after the lizard Ree flew into space. The war with the elves ended long ago with the victory of the Dark Forces; Elirania and Arnor were enslaved, Eravia went over to the winning side. The city of Mages, Ronnenberg, is still turned to stone and many heroes have given their lives trying to free it. The troops of the deceased Lord are commanded by the red dragon Alizon.

But the elves and people did not accept the domination of the barbarians. In search of a force capable of destroying the invaders and their cruel winged beasts, dragons, two heroes set off on a long journey. An elf and a griffin who have never heard of each other, a hermit and the commander of a flying division, a doctor and a soldier, an immortal sage and an elderly veteran... Which of them will be able to defeat the dragons and return freedom to their native land? Time will tell.

The story very well explains the background of the novel "Red Dragon", which is based on the manuscript of the scarlet Wing, the last dragon in Arnor.
