The novel “It's Time to Lead the Horses Away” by Norwegian Per Petterson (b. 1952) became a literary sensation. The author was awarded the world's most prestigious award for prose writing, the International IMPAC Prize, in 2007, beating out such illustrious rivals as Salman Rushdie and 2003 Nobel laureate John Coetzee.
