Not far from the town of Stauford is the town of Devil's Creek. Once there stood a church of a sinister cult, in which former priest Jacob Masters preached the gospel of a nameless god. In 1983, the church was burned to the ground, and almost all members of the sect committed suicide. Only six of Jacob's children survived, nicknamed the "Stauford Six". Over time, their trials were forgotten, and the story of the mysterious sect turned into a terrible bedtime story. In the present day, Jack Tremley, one of the Six turned successful artist, returns to Stauford to deal with the inheritance of his deceased grandmother Imogen. Arriving, he is faced with the secrets of his family and a seemingly long-buried past. But he still does not know that Jacob’s nameless god is alive, that in the cave under Devil’s Creek there lurks a real and very ancient horror that will soon burst out, consuming everything around.
